• 1/2 cup - melted Butter
• 1/2 cup - Sugar
• 1 cup - Flour/Maida
• 1 tsp - Baking powder
• 2 - Egg
• 4 tbsp - Milk
• 1 tsp - Vanilla essence

How to Make Microwave Basic Sponge Cake

• Sieve flour and baking powder together and keep aside.
• Mix butter, sugar, eggs and milk thoroughly.
• Beat well for 5 mins.
• Add flour and baking powder.
• Mix and add essence.
• Blend again and pour the mixture into a large microwave safe bowl.
• Bake for 60 seconds in a 600W microwave.
• Cool, cut into wedges and serve.
• Tip: Make sure that the batter for the cake is in a semi-liquid form, more like dropping consistency that would be perfect for the cake.
